Shaping Our Future

Cycling at the Bicycle Leadership Conference

Plan to spend some time on two wheels at the Bicycle Leadership Conference.

The Monterey Bay Coastal Bike Path is an oceanfront trail covering 18 miles, from Castroville in the north to Pacific Grove in the south. Following the same route once used by the Southern Pacific Railway, the trail goes right by Cannery Row, Lover’s Point, the Maritime Museum, Fisherman’s Wharf, and much more.

Not only is there fantastic cycling right from the doorstep of the Monterey Plaza Hotel, there is also the Sea Otter Classic starting on Thursday at nearby Laguna Seca Raceway. This four-day extravaganza of cycling features road and mountain bike competition and recreational rides. And the expo is the kickoff bash to the American cycling season.

Unlike most business conferences, the Bicycle Leadership Conference is actually a bike friendly experience. This year there will be three organized group rides during the BLC.   The 23 mile route loop will follow the dramatic Pacific coastline into beautiful Pebble Beach along the famous Seventeen Mile Drive.

A secure room will be available to store your bicycle as well as bike stands, floor pumps and tools, if needed.

See the BLC schedule for group bike ride start times.
